Lions Head

 

Lions Head 2008 (35mm Pentax K-1000)

This was taken on a day when Lions Head was covered in thick  cloud while the rest of Table Mountain remained sunny… in the top left corner you can see the mist rolling over, and the dark streaks on the slope just below it, are shadows cast by the massive clouds..I thought that was pretty amazing when I noticed it in the shot afterward..at the time I was more focussed on framing the lily with a 50mm prime lens!
